For the purposes of Restricted Activity Directions (Restricted Area) (No 6), all public and private health services are permitted workplaces. Our practice will not be accepting patients currently (both urgent and non-urgent) and apologize in advance if you are unable to be seen.
Level 3 Patient Management (ADA Guideline) is currently adopted by our practice for all dental treatment.
This means we adopt extra precautions to minimize the risk of transmission between patients and members of our team.
Classification of patients
You will be triaged according to your clinical signs and epidemiological criteria.
Confirmed cases: We do not provide emergency treatment for confirmed cases due to lack of facilities at our practice. Please seek treatment at a hospital where they have negative pressure treatment rooms.
High Risk cases: You may be classified as a High Risk patient based on clinical signs and/or epidemiological criteria. We ask that you defer all non-urgent treatment at our practice. Special arrangements will be made for urgent treatment. Please call us and do not book an appointment online.
Moderate Risk cases: Patients not listed above are classified as Moderate Risk. We ask that you defer all non-urgent treatment at our practice. Special arrangements will be made for urgent treatment. Please call us and do not book an appointment online.
Enhanced Routine Cleaning
Door handles and other high contact areas are cleaned regularly with Enhanced Routine Cleaning protocols, a 2-step clean which involves a physical clean using detergent solution followed by use of a TGA listed hospital-grade disinfectant.
To the extent it is possible, all surfaces within the treatment room are covered with a single use disposable cover to minimize risk of transmission, including the dental chair. The treatment room will be thoroughly after each patient so we ask you for your patience while this process is occurring.
Other behind-the-scenes cleaning and sterilization are done to ensure the safety of you and our team.
At the waiting room
Please use hand sanitizer provided upon entry and keep your face masks on at all times in the waiting room.
If there is one or more person already in the waiting room, we ask you to wait in your vehicle or outside to adhere to the 1.5m social distancing rule.
In the treatment room
We will provide you with a pre-procedural mouthwash and ask that you use hand sanitizers upon entering to minimize spread of coronavirus.
Dentists and their assistants will be wearing fluid impervious disposable gown and caps, face shields, eye protection, disposable gloves, along with N95/P2 respirators to minimize risk of transmission during treatment.
